Social Work in an International Perspective
(in combination with a work field placement)

The Social Work Department of the Katholieke Hogeschool Kempen in Geel Belgium organises the module "Social Work in an International Perspective"

Students, preferably from different countries, can participate in the module. It runs from September until January and is taught at the campus in Geel.

The methodology of project-based learning is used, supported by a web-based course ( Social Work in an internatinal perpsective ). Students work in teams on a real project with an international dimension set up by a social organisation from the field. We will create extra student group(s) with international students along the Flemish student groups. The module runs during the Fall Semester and accounts for 6 ECTS credits.

An other module about dissertation will run during the Spring Semester, also accounting for 6 ECTS credits.

In each semester, next to the module the student will have the possibility do a traineeship in a social work organization in Flanders.
