My research is about the practical implementation of mathematical models applied to a broad range of domains. Current research topics include:

  • Datamining techniques with a strong focus on anomaly (novelty, outlier) detection
  • Statistical quality control for industrial engineering
  • Biostatistics

The research is driven from the need and demand of the industry. Emphasis lies on applications in which mathematics and statistics is essential. Often it's not obvious for a company to use non-standard mathematical techniques to solve a practical problem. My focus lies on responding to these needs.

I teach several courses on analysis and biostatistics in the bachelor degree of engineering technology at campus Geel.
