The computer age has migrated from the "framework age" to the "personal
computer age" and is now entering rapidly the "ubiquitous network age",
means microcontrollers will be embedded everywhere you imagine (which is by
the way the slogan of Renesas Technology).
The ubiquitous embedded nodes need to be equipped with sensors and actors as
well as communication interfaces to the underlying network structure.
For home control applications wireless technologies like ZigBee and wired
technologies like PLC (power line communication) are especially suited.
The presentation will focus on the products, system solutions and activities
of Renesas Technology in this particular area.
