Presentation:  Embedded processing for partial reconfigurable computing.

Shortform:

Reconfigurable computing makes use of dynamic reprogramming of system hardware to allow for on-the-fly changeable hardware configurations. Xilinx FPGA's are the only components allowing this technique of hardware configuration.

The newer FPGA families contain hard- or softcore processors allowing full customized embedded processing.

Combining the reconfigurable techniques and embedded processing allows us to make very powerful systems with minimal hardware.

The presentation highlights the design flow used for partial reconfigurable design with Xilinx FPGA's and the use of the embedded PPC405 or Microbaze processor to control the partial reconfiguration operations.
